Ten True Confessions....

I really don't think I have anything juicy enough to do this, but whatever! (First of all, I must tell you all that I stole this idea from Lauren and her LiveJOurnal...Thanks Lauren!)

10. I own exactly 88 CD's.

9. Would not relive any years before 13 for a million dollars because they TOTALLY sucked (but I honestly have no idea WHO I would be if those years didn't happen the way they did, so for that I am thankful).

8. Never been on a date (therefore have never been kissed)...Many of you already knew that though.

7. Am addicted to painting my nails...

6. Haven't seen my dad since I was 10.

5. Never did think boys were "icky."

4. I can lie well (I just don't very often) except to my mum.

3. Don't like anyone at this moment.

2. Filmed Mike when he was asleep when he told me not to.

1. I'm the Queen of Schwerinborg! (Lauren...Does that mean I get to marry Georg?! That would be AWESOME!!!)

Ok...So, except for the last one, all are true! lol

Now I'm off to see if Schwerinborg REALLY does exist!

Later,
Jennifer

Book...Of...The...Week...

Hey Peoples!

You had to see this coming! You didn't? You fools! lol I got new books for Christmas...You had to see a new BOTW coming!!! lol

Well this time it's a drama and not the usual fun funny ones.

"Dancing Naked" by Shelley Hrdlitschka (No, that's not a typo).

Yes, I know it sounds bad, but it's not (and I will explain in a minute what Dancing Naked means...I but you a million bucks it's not what you think it means).

The book is about pregnant 16 year old Kia. And her struggle with a pig-headed ex-boyfriend and whether she sound have an abortion, keep "peanut" (As she nicknames her baby), or give her up for adoption. She gets *pinches fingers together* this close to having an abortion when she comes to her senses and runs out....And let's just say....Derek (The baby's father) isn't too pleased....You can tell this when he tries to run her over with his car.

OK, now to the Dancing Naked part. Dancing Naked means to put yourself out there and be who you are and not caring what other people see. Kia has an old friend named Grace who tells her about Dancing Naked...She said that when she was Kia's age she wanted to Dance Naked but her head told her not to...But now that she's old, her head wants to but her body says no. See...Told you it isn't what you thought it was!

And that concludes your book of the week pick!

All About Christmas

Hey everyone,

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Christmas! I know I did! It was sooooo much fun! I got some GREAT things! Mum got me a box of fortune cookies! (I LOVE fortune cookies...) But....I'm sad....I'm doomed to emptiness! lol The FIRST cookie I open....Is empty....That CAN'T be good!!! And their citrus flavored....Which is interesting...

My mum got me the GREATEST present ever! It's like a DDR system (Dance Dance Revolution) but it's "Christianized!" It's called "Dance Praise" and it's SOOOOO much fun!!!!!!!!!!! You hook the dance pad up to your computer and then you dance to Christian music!

I hope I get my package from Lauren soon!!! I'm REALLY excited about that!!!

Thanks for the earrings, Leah! I love them!!!

Thanks Gram and Gramps for my Hilary Duff CD!!! It's wonderful!!!

Jeremy Camp rocks! If you have never heard him....GO LISTEN NOW!!! I got his "Restored" CD and it's WONDERFUL! He has a lovely deep voice!!! I highly recommend his songs "Lay Down My Pride" and "Breathe."

I'm addicted to Strawberry Rhubarb pie....It's the best....(Yes, it is, Mike)

I had SOOOO much fun Christmas day! Practically all we did at church was sing and that's my favorite part of church...And then we went to the Palmer's and had SO much fun! Then to the Hudson's and had SO much fun (Plus too much to eat). Cean got me Relient K's CD "The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek" and it's SO GOOD! The first song is called "Kick-Off" and it's only 39 seconds song and it goes like this...

"Here's the kick-off
Hope you're not sick of
Relient K
And all the songs we play
'Cause then you'll wanna throw are CD away!"

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

I'm really excited about the All-Nighter. A whole night of just hanging with my best buddies (Well...Some of them). I'm going to take my video camera to commemorate the event. YAY! (You know what that means, Lauren! You will get to see some of it!!! And it will just be like you're there!!! YAY! That is...As soon as I get enough footage to pull together for you....Some of it was from a while ago and I don't want to use anymore.) I think I'm going to make people dance....And film it...It shall be fun.

Now I will talk about two of the coolest things saw/heard over Christmas.

At one of the driving schools in Spokane they have a running lighted board thingy...So I was reading it and all of a sudden it flashes "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!" and I thought that was the COOOOOLEST things EVER, because no one ever recognizes Christmas for what it really is anymore...Especially in this PC world.

Then at the Christmas play I watched, the pastor was talking about the "PC-ness" and said, "I want to wish you all a Christ-centered-Christmas" Which I thought was awesome!

Well that's all for now....I'm going to try to get Mike to stop talking about his LARGE CD collection.

Infinite X's and O's,
Jennifer

P.S. Merry Post Christmas!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

I know this is a day early, but I won't get the chance tomorrow.

Tonight, my mum and I went to a wonderful play at a friend's church...It was called "The Foolish Wiseman"...It was the story of Ogion, the little-known 4th Wiseman. It was VERY comical and had great actors and actresses in it. It was written by Sean Gaffney who has multiple credits across the U.S. from Seattle to New York, as a playwright, screenwriter, director, teacher, and producer and he also writes for Big Idea, the creators of Veggie Tales.

Well, I just wanted to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I love each and every one of you!

Jenn

P.S. I also have to go and get another pair of socks....My feet are FREEZING!

Bye, bye snow...

Hey peoples,

Well, I don't know about the snow situations where some of you out there that aren't in my area, but our snow is depleting....It's warmed up enough to rain and is now washing all the snow away. But that will NOT stop Santa!!! See? He's already come and visited here! (SHHH! Don't tell Rupert I stole his Santa to take this picture...)

I'm SOOOO very excited for Christmas this year!!! Friday (AKA Christmas Eve Eve) is the resident Christmas party at the care center where I will help open presents and then mark clothing and various presents with names so they know who they belong to. Then Saturday is Christmas Eve....Another day at the care center! And then SUNDAY...CHRISTMAS!!! Yay!! Mum and I are getting up and going to church with the Palmer crew and then going over to their house to play games and what not...Then mum and I are on our way to Cean's house....A whole three doors down, where we will be having dinner! I love spending the holidays at their house! It's so nice to be all together. I would definitely consider the Palmer's and Hudson's family. Then, that evening, mum and I will head back home (the treck is so far from the Hudson's home...) where we will watch "It's Christmas, Charlie Brown" and then open presents...YES! Presents LAST! Only the best way to do it! It's alot of fun!

Happy Christmahanakkuwanza!!!!

Infinite X's and O's,
Jennifer

P.S. Rupert begs to differ with your ever growing fine, Tyler....He says you owe him $5 and he wants it in his stocking.

Gingerbread house!

Hey everyone!!!

This last Monday was just a fun day at school and we made Gingerbread houses (coincidentally out of graham crackers...But whatever.) But it was still a competition. Here are pictures of my Gingerbread house....

This one may be a bit blurry....I hope not. Anyways, here it is! Ta-da! The house says "Happy Holidays" and there's a lamp post next to the house...Then in the corner...Yeah, that's a garage with a car going in. Then in the front corner there's a guy making a snow angel! (Randy, my teacher said it looked like Mr. Bill! lol)

And here's Mr. Bill...OH, I mean, my guy making a snow angel! The little blue part on his chest is his heart...It is actually ONE heart shaped sprinkle.

And this....Ta-da-da-da-da! Is what place I got! Heck yes! 2nd place!!!! I won some awesome pens....So did the 1st and 3rd place winners! But because I was there when Lisa got the pens, *I* had the first pick! I was so excited! Yay! Everyone should REALLY make a gingerbread house out of graham crackers! It's SO much fun! And if you do, don't use just regular frosting. Mix powder sugar and water together until it looks like toothpaste.

While we were making our houses, they had a tape of the Gingerbread house making championships in the background....And the three girls made a Diagon Alley from Harry Potter! It was frickin' amazing! And they won the Teen Division....And totally deserved it! They made little owls out of melted candies for Eyelop's Owl Imporium! It was AMAZING!

Well, that's my two cents for today (Maybe that was forth five cents....),

Here's the puppets Sampson, Ray (Who was formerly Rachel...But then got a hair cut. LOL), John, and Pop Thomas...Again, dressed up as Angels.

Well, that's all for now!

Things

Hey Everyone,

Today was my Student of the Month meeting thingimabobber. It was good! I was so nervous though! They gave me a $50 gift check!!! It was awesome!!! It was interesting listening to all the people there (there was a MAX of 10 people in the room) talk about different stuff about the town and friends. Then they have this thing called "Happy Dollars" and it's kind of like an offering at church. Except for each dollar they put in they have to say what they are happy about. So many people put dollars in for me...But there was this little girl there...She was SOOOO cute! She was probably 3 years old and she put in $2 and when they asked her what she was happy about she said, "I'm happy that my mommy gives me money so I can give you money!" How sweet is that?! One guy put a dollar (he ended up putting about $6 in, but this is just one of them) in and said he was happy because he married off another daughter over the weekend, and then another guy said, "That's worth more than a dollar!" It was truly comical. And so many people congradulated me....All of them I had never met before...But you could really see that they meant it!

Yesterday we did two puppet shows....Everyone said we did great, but all of us puppeteers were really disappointed! We kept forgetting to switch the backdrops and were missing our cues and whatnot...Oh well. The show must go on! And it shall...Tomorrow, when we do our next show! I'll post some pictures soon (Keep an eye out for them Kim! I had mum take some especially for you!). But there was a few MAJOR bonuses to our shows....One of the residents at the care center yesterday was crying when we had finished the show. You could really tell that he got the message.

Well, keep watching for pictures (Which I'll probably put up in about 10 minutes! lol)!

Love,
Jennifer

My Short Story

Hi All,

Are you ready for my newest masterpiece? Some of you know that I was struggling with my 3-5 page short story that I had to write for my final for Creative Writing...Well, here's the result. I hope you all enjoy it! And please post a comment telling me the good and bad parts!

*WARNING! Possible sappiness and tears*

"My Best Friend"

I pushed through the automatic doors and had the mixed smell of cleanliness and sickness hit

me, but I was too afraid to even notice. I ran right past the receptionist, a quizzical look on her

face, and my mother following shortly behind me apologizing to people I bump into and picking

up things I knock over, because I'm so focus (and unfocused at the same time) to pay any

attention. I run into the elevator and push the button to take me to the sixth floor. Every second

feels like a lifetime. The elevator is not responding as fast as I want it to, so I continue to push

the button with the big "6" on it, thinking that this will make it work faster. As soon as the doors

begin to close, I see my mother running to catch up to me (I had completely forgot about her),

but it was too late, and I was too worried to stop the elevator, for if I stopped it, it might not decide

to go up for another hour, after all, she could find her way herself.

After what seems to be an eternity, I make it to my level. My heart begins to pound even harder

then it did when I got the phone call. The fear of what Matt might look like took over. I begin to

look for his room number, not bothering to ask one of the nurses. Room 652, 653, 654, THERE!

Room number 655. I hold my breath and close my eyes as I turn the lever, not even thinking of

knocking (But then again, how much thinking was I REALLY doing?). Instantly, a slow beeping

along with a struggling breath fills my ears.

"Matt?" I whisper in case he's asleep.

"Gwen!" An excited, yet exasperated voice says, but it's not Matt's, the only voice I want to

hear.

"Mrs. London!" I exclaim as I run over to her and throw my arms around her neck, "How is he?

What's happened? Is he going to be alright?" Before she can answer, my eyes go directly to

Matt, my best friend who I loved more than anyone in the world, who was lying there, helplessly,

with tubes and machines connected all over him. I immediately go numb.

"Oh my God," is the only thing I can think to say.

"Now, dear, I'm not going to lie to you. He's not well..."

"Oh my God..." I say as I continue to stare at him.

"He was going to see you. He said there was something he wanted to tell you. He didn't see the

ice..." She goes on.

"Oh my God..."

"The highway was really busy and the fog was so thick. Alot of people were hurt."

My mom finally makes it up to the room. She comes in breathing deeply, but I don't pay much

attention. I keep staring at Matt. And then the reality sets in. I sink to the floor and begin to cry.

He was coming to see me. I could have gone over to his place and it could be me in that bed.

I would much prefer that, if only he could be fine and well. My mom and Mrs. London come over

and console me, not with words, but a light touch on my shoulder and a soft hug from my

mother. They decided, still wordlessly, to get me into a chair and leave me to be with Matt.

I sit there, with my head in my hands bawling, wanting to throw my arms around his unconscious

body, but too afraid to touch him for fear that I might break him even more. I sit there for longer

than I know, not sure of what to do next.

Finally, I just start talking, thinking that he just might hear me.

"What were you thinking?! You have more sense then that, Matt, you knew the roads were bad!

What were you thinking?!"

At these words, there was a slight stir under the covers. My jump with a combination of excitement

and fear.

"Matt?!" He slightly opens his eyes, "Oh Matt!"

"I needed to talk to you," A voice that isn't his comes from his mouth. This voice was hoarse

and scratchy, opposed to his usual smooth and confident tone.

"What was so important that you couldn't have just called me?" I say with my eyes begining to

fill with tears again.

"I had to come see you..." He begins to say as the door squeaks open and our mothers slowly come

into the room.

"Matt! You're awake!" Cried Mrs. London, as she comes to the side of his bed and gives him a

hug and begins to cry on his white hospital gown.

"We thought we heard voices," My mom says, "Come on. Lets leave them along. It's getting late

as well. Visiting hours will be over soon."

"I'll be back tomorrow. Promise." I say sincerely as I give his hand a squeeze and he just grins

at me.

As I leave the room, I breathe a sigh of relief.

The next day, I arrive at the hospital early in the morning, not as frantic as the day before.

Mom and I go up the elevator (which seems to be moving faster today as well) and turn the corner

going to Matt's room as if we had gone there every day of our lives. But suddenly, I began to get

a horrible feeling in my heart. I look down the quiet hallway and see Mrs. London walk out of

room number 655 with a solomn look on her face. My heart begins to race as I run toward her.

"I'm so sorry, dear...He's gone."

Not even an "Oh my God" came from my lips. There were no words for this. Only tears.

The three of us just stood there crying and holding onto

each other. After several minutes of this, Mrs. London gathers enough strength to push back the

tears and pull something out of her pocket.

"I found this in his jacket. I'm sure he would still want you to have it." She says as she places

an envelope into the palm of my hand. I begin to cry even more at the sight of my name in his

handwriting on the front of it.

The next two weeks are a blur. I was unable to read the letter from Matt. Naturally, I was very

curious about what it might contain, but on the other hand I was terrified that it might make me

cry all over again and that I might never be able to stop.

I finally work up the courage to read the note. Granted, it was through a curtain of tears, but

it had taken me long enough to get to that point.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Dear Gwen,
We have been friends for far too many years and we are not going anywhere. So before we
waste any more time, I must tell you something that I have been keeping inside for a very long
time. I no longer want to be JUST friends with you. You are everything to me. There is not one
day that goes by that I do not think of every wonderful thing about you and I know you feel the
same.
I love you. I love you more than you will ever know. And I will always love you.
With my whole heart,
Matt
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As I blink away the tears, I feel a great amount of peace fall over me. I read the letter once

again and take in all the words and emotion.

I lift my head to look upward and say, "I love you too, Matt."

Oh blah dee - oh blah da - Life goes on - rah

Dear everyone that takes the time to read this,

Hi~Hello! How have you all been?! I'm super good. I can't wait for Christmas! My puppet shows start up next week and I'm totally psyched about that! I've realized in every scene that I'm in in the puppet show, I never move from my one spot....I mean, obviously, I move, because other people have to be there and I have to get a different puppet and whatnot, but every time I go up there, I'm in the same spot! It's wonderful!

I'm also really excited, because I've found a few of my old friends from Christian Hertitage on MySpace!

Speaking of MySpace! Come visit and drop me a note!!!

www.myspace.com/sheshallremainnameless

Hopefully, I'll be getting my job back pretty soon. I've asked for my position back, but it is currently filled, but it sounds as if that person might be leaving soon....Yay! I miss it! My money is depleting.

Today I submitted 3 of my poems to In Roads, the writers in the community book that EWU puts out. I'm super excited! I hope they get published!!! I'll keep you posted on that.

Laura, did you notice I was wearing the bracelets that your grandpa gave me today?! They're super cool!

How many times have I used the word 'super'.....

Well, I'll come back when I have something more interesting to say!

Infinite X's and O's,
Jenn

I Sing For You

I sing for you
And only you
Where ever I go I find you
You’re in the sound of every hello
In everything I do
You’re the song I was destined to know
And I only sing for you

You went away
I should have known
You leave so many dreams behind you
Thought I’d be fine just being alone
I didn’t have a clue
But my heart had a mind of its own
And would only sing for you

You’re in the sound of rain
Clouds in a winter sky
In a thousand unsaid words
In a thousand crazy reasons why
You were meant to fly

So fly for me
And day by day
I’ll keep hoping your heart reminds you
Nothing but love can stand in our way
But love can see us through
Maybe that’s all I wanted to say
I will always sing for you
I will always sing for you

Quotes

As some of you know, I LOVE quotes. So, I was looking at www.quoteland.com (if you want to waste some time and like quotes, go there!!! It's brilliant....Lauren, you especially.) and I thought I would share some of my findings.

"People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be." -Abraham Lincoln

"Nobody cares if you're miserable, so you might as well be happy." -Cynthia Nelms

"Minds are like parachutes; they work best when open." -Lord Thomas Dewar

"Boredom: the desire for desires." -Leo Tolstoy (from the book Anna Karenina)

"Live out of your imagination, not your history." -Stephen Covey

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible." -Walt Disney

And my favorite....

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." -Helen Keller

Lots of love,

This, that, and everything else

BOO! Did I scare you? It's been awhile. Haven't thought of anything to say.

Tomorrow I'm going over to Laura's house for the WHOLE weekend! WOOT! It shall be fun.

School was weird today. There are alot of kids in my class that bug the crap out of me. They were giving up SOOOO quickly on EASY math things. Randy (our math teacher) gave us a word problem about gas mileage and everyone freaked when it turned out to be long division and we weren't aloud to use calculators. Boo-freakin-hoo! So, while they were "giving up" and whining and complaining (And being very vocal about it) *I* was actually doing the problem....I wanted to yell at them SOOO bad and say, "Would you guys just SHUT UP so that people that are ACTUALLY TRYING to work it out can think?!?!" (needless to say, I was the first to turn it in and get it right.) Also, today we were working in this Math magazine thing (very short) and it was really easy stuff and everyone was complaining (Seriously, when are they not?) and one girl asked if anyone had finished it and EVERYONE looked over at me!!!! They were all "begging" (not really, but they did try to get the answers out of me) me to give them the answers. I helped one girl with a couple, but that's it. My services aren't cheap.

I'm still the basket weaving queen!!!! Lisa (our counselor/teacher) gave some kid a "gold star" (They don't exist....Just make-believe) because he came back mid-week to get some more raffia (I don't know if that's how you spell it...Anyways, it's from palm trees and that's what holds the pine needles together....It's used like thread.) because he had run out. Well, last week I just took a TON of it so I wouldn't run out. And when I showed Lisa she was so excited because I was the first one to have "walls" on my basket and so she took his gold star away and gave it to me! I was so excited!

Speaking of Gold Stars.....I AM THREE SPRING HIGH SCHOOL'S STUDENT OF THE MONTH!!!!

My hands smell like onion.

The Christmasy stuff is in stores now!!! I swear, it came in the DAY after Halloween! It's SOOOOOO EXCELLENT!!! Mom and I went shopping on Sunday and I got SOOOOO EXCITED!!! I can't wait!!! But I can because once it comes it's over and then everyone gets grumpy again....Except for the MILLIONS of Scrooges that my mum works with....They're grumpy ALL the time...OH WELL!!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!

Lots of love,
Jenn

P.S. Lauren, I haven't fallen off the edge of the world....I tried....It threw me back. LOL

Tomorrow....In 37 minutes....

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow is the hayride! Woot! I hope it goes well...And I hope no one gets hurt...Or a cold....OR BOTH! That would be awful. I've never been on a hayride...I'm not sure what to think. I'm excited, but a bit nervous.

I'm really tired...I've been talking to Laura and Mike for the last...OMG! Almost three hours!!! Well, Mike left about 20 minutes ago, but Laura and I are still going and right now I'm culturing her in Teen Girl Squad etiquette (A cartoon online for those of you that don't know about it).

I'm still kicking butt in basket weaving...becoming a basket case from math, and am suffering from sleep deprivation.

Well, that's all for tonight...I'm REALLY super tired. For some reason, that word looks SOOO wrong...Like I keep spelling it wrong, even though I know I'm not. Tired...T.I.R.E.D. Yep...

My day

I had such a FREAKIN' good day today!!! I kicked butt in school (and basket weaving...I am the proclaimed basket weaving Queen)(I shall put up a picture of my completed basket...When it does, in fact, get completed)!

I've met this great new friend at school! Her name is Laura (Special shout out to Laura!!!) and she's going to start coming to church and youth group!!! I'm SOOOO excited! Everyone is going to love her! Who wouldn't?!

I've met SOO many interesting people at school! And many of them are quite nice! The way they have the school set up this year is really giving us the opportunity to get to know one another better. I love lunch break, because I sneak over (Not so quietly) to Jen's room and have lunch with the "cool" people...AKA the girls in Jen's class. Don't get me wrong, the kids in my class are cool....Anyways, So we talk and laugh and to day we found the reason why Laura is so happy....She listens to Fiona Apple. That has to be it. HAHAHAHA...You had to be there. It's almost like Mike's obsession with AC/DC. (Mike just said, "HECK YES!" I'm sure of it...)

I hope Jim, Joe, Claire, and Amy come back to youth group!!! They are so cool!

You know what that means? NEW SUITS!

I'm going to shock everyone one right now....I'M ENJOYING MATH!!! *Mouths all over the world drop...* It's quite fun! And I love basket weaving. And Ben (a guy in my class) keeps calling me an Overachiever....And I keep saying back to him, "You better believe it!" They keep coming to me for help! It feels so good!

This weekend is so busy. Tomorrow I'm going to call Laura and Lauren (Long, long, LONG distance to Lauren....A mile from Laura's.) Then on Saturday is prop and backdrop make and decorate day from 9:30 to 2....And then my mom has a choir banquet Saturday evening....Then church on Sunday. Possible doctor's appointment in the afternoon for mom...Then mom has ANOTHER doctor's appointment on Monday...Gosh...Wow...All I can say is it better go fast because I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL WEDNESDAY!!!! Laura's going to come! And then Friday is the Hayride! That's going to be SOO MUCH FUN! My first hayride! WOOT!

Well, I had better get going. I'm quite tired and I think I'm actually going to try to go to bed early tonight. Well see...

Later,
Jenn

Floccinaucinihilipilification

From the comic Zippy
Do you think I may be too quick to find fault with things and people, Zippy?
Yeh.
Th' 'floccinaucinihilipilification' process.
Th' what?
Floccinaucinihilipilification!! It means 'the estimation of something as valueless'!
You've been randomly reading th' dictionary, haven't you?
Yes. That and my natural tendency toward antifloccinaucinihilipilification!!

Very few people are going to get this....I know Mike will...And for the rest of you, HA HA HA!!!

Zits Comic

This is EXACTLY how my friends and I feel about our blogs. I think this comic is brilliant. This one individually and ALL of the Zits comics. ZITS ROCK!!! (Sorry it's kind of small and blurry, but I think you will still be able to read it...If you squint.)

Not just any other day...

My finals were today.....I PASSED!!! Well, from what I know anyway. I had to walk/jog 2 miles in 28 minutes and I got it in 27:55 with only one person in front of me (who ran practically the whole way) who made it in 17 minutes. The closest person behind me made it in 31 minutes. My legs were killing me after the first mile, but the second mile was easier, because I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. I definitely passed my history core class (core is the stuff we discuss as a class...Then we have GSL (guided student learning) were we just do our own individual work) (I had to memorize the Preamble to the Constitution....Quite a task....Now watch out...I still remember it.) And then my World history (GSL class) was an open book test, so can you really fail those? So, now I'm onto my next class....Math *blech*....But it's with my favorite teacher and the best math teacher EVER! AND it doesn't start until NEXT Thursday (October 20th) so I don't have ANY homework for over a week!!! I'm so chuffed.

"Oh, what a lovely light fixture..."

My mom and I were discussing music this evening on our way back from Spokane and I was saying how I can't wait (well, I can, but it will be interesting to see) my generation in nursing homes....Will we be listening to punk rock/rock/rap and all that jazz when we're 90 years old? And will the people taking care of us be going "That oldies music..." Have any of you ever thought of that?

Here's a quote that I meant to put up weeks ago, but alas, I forgot. So here it is now.

Cean's friend: "You're morbid."
Cean: "I'm not Mormon, I'm a Christian."

That's why I've nicknamed her "The Blonde Moment Waiting To Happen."

All I'm going to do tomorrow is fun stuff. I'm going to sleep in, watch the Ellen DeGeneres show, watch "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" (and possibly the extras on the DVD), take as shower, and go to youth group. Oh, and play with my puppy. I'm going to be SOOO lazy....YAY! Oh and I plan on writing Lauren and Maggie more letters (even though I haven't gotten responses from either yet). I need to write a letter to Alexz Johnson (Canadian actress/singer) as well. AND Aly & AJ Michalka (Singers/actresses). Boy, I'll be SO busy...*chuckles*

Tyler, I'll bring you CDs and movies to church tomorrow. Can we do what we did last week? We go to Zips and you take me home? Is that a huge inconvenience?

Wow...It's Wednesday already. I've been watching this old Canadian show from the '80s for the last three hours...I know, I watch WAY too much TV, but it's a good show! I've never seen it before, I watch the new version.

I can't wait until Youth group later. I have a feeling that it will be good (and my feelings are about 75% accurate). I REALLY like Dallas and Tanya (Our new youth leaders if you are not familiar). I can't wait to start singing at youth again. That's one of the highlights for me.

I really must go to bed, you know, I have such a busy day tomorrow....How will I ever fit everything in?

Later,
Jennifer

book*of*the*week

A WINTER NIGHT'S DREAM BY ANDREW MATTHEWS

Hey everyone, it's that time of the week again. And this book truly is fit for both male and females (Mike, you should really check it out, you might like it.) It's one of my favorites (Yes, I do realize I say that for every book that I post up here....I also say the same things about songs). It's almost like a Serendipity story. It's (and please forgive me if I get it a little wrong, it's been a long time since I've read it...Mental note, must read again) about Stew and Cassie (Alternates point of view every other chapter) and their ups and downs of relationships. And they are both close when something happens to another. For example, in one chapter is says that Cassie stands in the middle of a crowded street and screams, well then in the next chapter, Stew acknowledges that there's a crazy girl screaming for no reason.

Definitely worth a go.

Homecoming Dance

The homecoming dance is tonight...It's going on as I type this.

I swear, all of Cheney shuts down when any sort of function is going on. My mom and I went to CTC (Cheney Trading Company...It's a grocery store, for those people that don't live here...e.i. Lauren, Aunt Sharon, all the other awesome people in Scotland that MIGHT be reading this) and there was probably MAX 10 shoppers there. It was ridiculous!!! I doubt homecoming was the entire reason for the store being empty, but I have no doubt that was a major part of it.

So, obviously, I didn't attend. I'm not really disappointed about it....Maybe next year *looks quizically* Hmm....Doubt it. So, what have I been doing this fine evening, you may ask (I doubt you really asked that too....). I've been having a one way conversation to Lauren in Scootland (i.e. I've been writing her a letter) and I washed my hair.....QUITE an eventful evening. And the highlight was when the cute checker at the store asked how to cook the squash we had purchased.

I can't wait until tomorrow. It's going to be a good day. We are taping the dialogue for the puppet show....AND Dallas has 2 tickets to the Casting Crowns concert that he is GIVING away!!! I'm SOOO excited! I hope I get one....I've NEVER gone to a concert before....Ooh! That would be so cool!

Well, it's about 10 minutes to 11 pm. And I want to go finish my letter and read a chapter of the Magician's Nephew before I head to bed.

Goodnight everyone!

Jenn

P.S. You'll all have to tell me about your Homecoming experiences. I'm VERY interested.

Tearing down walls...

I'm really glad that walls are being torn down amongst some of the cliques at youth group. DEMOLITION IS FUN!!! (I have no idea if I spelled Demolition right or not....Great.) Although this whole drama that has been going on (and sadly keeps going on) has inspired a story in my brain. I'm so excited! I'm so going to start it tonight!!! The tagline..."Love, relationships, dislike (because you don't hate in church)...That's youth group." Mike? My fellow writer...Will you help me come of with some storylines? OOH! You could give me the male perspective, because I'm not good at that...For obvious reasons.

I raised my hand at youth when Dallas asked if anyone could sing...OMG! I can't believe I did that....I mean...I love to sing...But CAN I really? Good question.

OOOOH! My bargain of the week!!! I was at Barnes & Noble the other day (Only the coolest store ever!) And I was looking through the "Last Chance" cart....I totally found the Collection of Emily Dicknson's poems! How cool! And for only $6....But that's not the best part!!! It must have been 50% off because I got it for $3!!!! I was SOOOO excited! Emily Dickinson is my favorite poet! So, I was just kind of skimming it in the car after I bought it and I found this brilliant poem.

A word is dead
When it is said,
Some say.
I say it just
Begins to live
That day.

So true. You know what is sad about Emily Dickinson? She only published about 4 poems in her lifetime, but after she died they found so many more in her dresser and stuff like that. It's sad that she didn't share with people and earn what she deserved. There's your history lesson for the day!

Well, I'd better go....Go write my story! You'll like this one, Aunt Sharon...Even though I haven't got a clue how it's going to go...I just have a feeling that you will.

book of the week

SPEAK BY LAURIE HALSE (Pronounced Haltz...Like Waltz) ANDERSON

This is a book that EVERY teenage girl needs to read. The movie version is coming out soon on DVD. I've heard it's really good and is very true to the book. I can't wait to see it! (If any of my friends that live near by would like to read it, I have a copy that you could borrow.)

Bowling!

Hey peoples that are bored enough to read this,

Today my class and I went bowling to raise money for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts! It was SOOO much fun! I sucked, but it was all good. We played 5 games and all together I knocked down 349 pins. I was able to raise about $375! I was so proud! I kept getting a ton of gutters while we were bowling and Jason (one of my classmates) kept saying, "It will jump back! It will!" lol....Needless to say, it didn't.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow...Of course, it's Wednesday. And I get to go swinging! I haven't gone swinging in forever!!! It's so good!!!

My history final is next week (as well as my PE final) and I'm really hoping that my next class is Language Arts, because someone is coming in to teach a section on Poetry and I REALLY want to be in it!!! PLEASE keep your fingers crossed!!! I've been slacking on my poetry...I hate it, but I haven't had any neat inspiration.

If anyone wants something interesting to read, go to the previous entry's comments...There you will see a short story by my good friend Tyler...It's worth a go.

My mom took tomorrow off from work, so I'm glad of that. I think we're just going to have a relax day together. It will be fun.

I feel like painting my nails....Darn. It's too late. If I paint them now, they would be wet when I went to bed and then I would roll on them and they would be ruined....Unless I put a thin first coat now (so it would dry quicker) and then another coat tomorrow....I'm absolutely addicted to that prism nail polish you got me, Katie! You'll have to show me more! I might have to get some more!!! (Yes, I know you got it from Avon....lol)

Well, I think I will go do that...And then I'll read a bit of the Magician's Nephew.

Lots of Love,
Jennifer

I've Got The Music In Me

Hey Everyone,

My cousin (Hey Rob!) and I have been talking about music...I have *71* cds!!! YAY me!!! I have everything from pop, rock, Christian, Alternative, big band, Jazz, and movie and TV show soundtracks. Eclectiveness rocks!

Another topic that has arisen today....The Chronicles of Narnia. I'm SOOO excited for the movie (which is coming out in Decemberween). I have all the books, but I haven't read them...I'm going to read at least the first two before I see the movie. Tyler let me borrow his Narnia tapes and I'm so excited to watch them, but there are three parts and each part is 3 hours long! So, it will take me awhile, Ty, but you know where to find me. So there you go.

Well, my dogs are buggin' and my homework is calling me....And so are those movies...I think I'll put one in.

Later,
Jenn

Thanks U.S. Postal Service...

I'm making sure that the Postmen and women have jobs. I've sent 3 letters to Scotland in the last week. One to Maggie Miller and the other two to Lauren. I would normally just have e-mailed them, but Maggie doesn't have the internet (I'm not even sure she has a computer!) and Lauren's computer isn't working. So there you go. Tyler, I'm going to try to get Lauren's friend David to write/e-mail me....You should so write Lauren a letter! She would love it. Speaking of writing letters...You didn't write me a note this week!!!! How sad...That made me cry.

All I feel like doing tonight is sing. In fact, I'm not getting very far into this post, because I keep stopping to sing. Weird...

I picked up an electic guitar tonight....OMG! It was SOO freakin' awesome...Mom said that if I got really serious about starting to learn how to play, she would look into getting me one. So, I WOULD start trying to practice....But SOMEONE took my frist string away and now I'm one string short!!! SOMEONE better fix it....You know who you are. Maybe I'll try to put it back on myself. The other instument I want to learn how to play is the keyboard. I want to learn something so I can get more serious about writing songs.

Well, I really don't have that much to say. I guess you could say that my mind is kind of preoccupied.

THIS LULLABY BY SARAH DESSEN

This is my all time favorite book. You should not only check this book out, you must read ALL of Sarah Dessen's books!!!

PARTY!

Hey everyone!

I'm so excited for today! My three best galies are coming over today to spend the night! It's going to be so much fun!!! Katie, Cean, Rainee, and I are going to karaoke all night long.

Which brings me to a comment that Katie left....That is SO hilarious that you were talking about the Switchfoot CD and how it would be good burned...And then you started talking about the country song Burn. That is Cean's favorite song to Karaoke! She has it on a CD and I'm going to have her bring it...YOU MUST SING IT FOR US!!!

Well, homework is a'calling. Have to get some done before peoples come over.

Jenn

P.S. Lauren, It will be like you will be at my party, because I'm going to tape some of it for you! I hope you'll like it!!!

Tomorrow

Yes, tomorrow is my birthday. (I'm putting this up here today, because I won't have time tomorrow.) I know at least one person remembered (Thanks, Tyler), but I wonder if anyone else will...Hmm...Something to ponder. Last night, Cean and her family and my mom and I went out to dinner and then we went shopping, where I was planning to buy my Video Camera! BUT of course, they didn't have the one that I wanted in stock. Which totally sucked.

Today I went to the eye doctor. Get fun. I'm glad I was able to go today instead of tomorrow, but I'm a huge procrastinator and so I didn't do a whole lot of my homework and when it came time to quite procrastinating, I go to the eye doctor, and they dialate my eyes! So I haven't been able to see really good today. It's been several hours and my pupils are FINALLY back to normal. I'm getting new glasses (That I don't like), but I only have to deal with them for about 2 months, because *da da da da* I'm getting CONTACTS!!! I'm REALLY anxious about that! I can't wait! Basically, the only people that have seen me without my glasses are the people that new me before I was seven. And since I can't see a bloody thing without my glasses, I literally have not seen myself without them since I was seven. I'm so excited!!!

I have a feeling I know what Cean is going to get me for my birthday....Don't tell her though!!! Even if it is what I think it is, I'm going to be totally stoked!!! I already know what Tyler is getting me, if he did in fact get it.

Well, I've got to get back to my homework.

Lots of love,
Jenn

P.S. Lauren, I wish you didn't live in a different country....I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have you at my sleepover this weekend.

One More Week....

Hey Everyone,

Less than one week until my birthday. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

I have nail polish on that that is practically EXACTLY the same color as my t-shirt. It's awesome!!! I got this new shirt yesterday at the Christian Supply store. It's Orange and it says "Simon, Peter, And The Fishers Of Men Bait & Tackle" And then underneath is says, "Jesus said unto them, come ye after me and I will make you to become fishers of men." Mark 1:17 Then under that is says SEA OF GALILEE. You peoples will be able to see it at church tonight. I also got this AWESOME wristband (Not unlike the Livestrong ones...) that is red and says "LIVE FOR HIM" And then it has a cross on it....It ROCKS!!!

Mike's party was SOOOO much fun!!!! I really enjoyed it...Definitely more exciting that watching a rock roll down a hill...I saw David, who I used to go to school with, whom I haven't seen in FOREVER. It was nice seeing him and Nick again....Even if he didn't remember me at first...David I mean...Well, Nick didn't remember me either. OH WELL!

Speaking of school...School is great. I don't particularly care for my fellow classmates so far, but whatever.

I got the new Switchfoot CD "Nothing Is Sound" yesterday! OH! It's soo good!!! (Mike, you would love it)

Gosh...I don't feel like I have ANYTHING to do now that everyone is at school. Right now, if it was still summer, I would be with the Sisterhood heading to the swings. BUT the Sisterhood (excluding me) doesn't even get out of school until about 3:00 - 3:15 (something like that). GRRRR...

HEY EVERYONE! Looking for another good blog?!?!?! Then go to http://moonstar89.blogspot.com to get some Scottish culture in you! YES! That's correct, my best friend Lauren (from Scootland...Yes, Scootland) now has a blog! And there is an ADORABLE picture of her up there when she was about...I would have to guess....About 3 years old. LAUREN! AM I RIGHT?! How old were you???

Next week when I come back from dogsitting and the Fair (for the second time), I will post some pictures from the fair.

OH! Speaking of the fair! Some of you have maybe seen the Hypnotist there, I talk about him SO much every year....But I digress....I WAS PICKED TO GO ON STAGE!!! (I'll have pictures from that too) Sadly though, I didn't get hypnotized. I was thinking about too much. I was concentrating too much on trying to relax, what a contradiction.

Ok, well that's all for now. Talk to you later!

This Week The Trend

Yes, the Relient K song. I just thought of that and thought it would be cool.

Started school this week! Awfully cool! Had school orientation tonight, pretty awesome as well. I felt really good, because my favorite teacher Randy leaned over to my mom and goes, "She's wonderful!" and the Administrator Mr. Skoog said that I was a great kid. And that didn't do anything to my ego!!! *Rolls eyes*

OOH!! Guess what I did!!! I totally started a frosting fight on Wednesday at church!!! It was so awesome!!! It was Mike's birthday (Happy belated birthday, even though I've already told you a million times) and so Amanda brought in cupcakes...Well...I just HAPPENED to have frosting on my fingers and I kinda slipped *cough...on purpose...cough* and touched Tyler's face with my frosty fingers! He continued to call me sick in the head and put frosting in my hair. It was so much fun!!!

Ok...On a more serious note. I must put this out. There has been some controversy concerning youth group and I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. All the people that I care deeply about are bailing...So I would LOVE to go with them...But something that I am passionate about (I know this is going to sound lame...But...Puppets...I love it and it's starting next week) is back at church. I can't ditch puppets...I can't. I love it SOOOO much. Even though I would love to hang with my friends. I'm telling you all that now.

Mike's birthday party on Saturday!!! I'm excited! Hey Tyler! Remember when we were going shopping for Mike's birthday present, and then we weren't and then we did?! that was so awesome!!!

Well, I must go to bed. Mom and I are going to the fair tomorrow!!! YAY!!! I need to get away from some things.

Later,
Jenn

P.S. Peoples that like the same kind of music as me (which is not many of you that read this.....So the people that do like it....that's about two...Lauren and Robbie) You MUST check out Aly & AJ's version of "Do You Believe In Magic?"!!! It's SOOOO awesome!!!! I LOVE it. That's a GREAT song!

Book Of The Week

It's that time again! A new book of the week! And I fully expect all of you to go out and get a copy!!!!!

This is one of my all time favorites (But what book isn't? Actually...I could count a few that I didn't like...But that's another story). It's about Lauren, who has threatened to sue her parents for malpractice! And in amongst that drama, she's falling for a guy that is a year younger than her...And you know how that's practically "Illegal" when you're in junior high.

Paula Danziger is a brilliant author, but sadly she passed away last year from a heart condition. Go read a Can You Sue Your Parents For Malpractice? (Or any others) in honor of Paula Danziger!

Funky...

Hey everyone,

I took this picture at my grandparents and I totally forgot about it!!! This is an airplane...If you couldn't already tell...It is an airplane...Made out of beer cans. DOESN'T IT ROCK?!?! It's even Schmidt's beer, which is my grandparents last name. So cool! I believe they said it took 12 cans to make that plane. I thought you would all like it (especially Katie).

Well, the first day of school was quite successful...But I had a massive head/eye ache when I got out. And guess what I get to do on my birthday!!! Go to the eye doctor!!! *looks disgusted* How lovely. So, I have to wake up at 4:30 AM, go to school, AND the eye doctor on my birthday...Brilliant!

Oh well...This too shall pass. That's become my new saying. This too shall pass.

Well, I must go get a start on my homework.

Happy Days....Good Times....Little House on the Prairie.

School....

Hey everyone,

This will be short, on account of I must get ready for tomorrow...But that is what this post is all about. Tomorrow. Tomorrow is the first day of school!!! YAY! I'm totally excited, but I'm a bit nervous. I hope I survive the year. Good luck to all my friends that have started, are starting tomorrow, and are going to start school later this month. This will be a good year! I can feel it!!!

Book of the week

Despite the kinda racy cover, this is a BRILLANT book. "Staying Fat For Sarah Byrnes" is a great story of survival, strength, and courage to fight. Chris Crutcher is a writer from Spokane, Washington (YES! WHERE I LIVE!!! Well, close to it) (He lives up on the South Hill). Sarah Byrnes is based in Spokane, contains some language, and is absolutely marvelous. Pick up a copy today!!!
